Streaming KDE Desktop to Trimui Smart Pro with Sunshine: A Quick Setup Guide
Streaming KDE Desktop to Trimui Smart Pro with Sunshine
As a Linux enthusiast, and owner of a Trimu Smart Pro I wanted to stream my KDE desktop to my Trimui Smart Pro for remote play. I found out im totally alone in getting it done because of lacking documentation Here’s my complete setup using Sunshine as the streaming server to a kde desktop.
The Setup
The goal was simple: stream my KDE desktop to the Trimui Smart Pro, but with proper controller support, an on-screen keyboard for text input, and a clean way to exit applications.
Pi hole local Dynamic DNS resolver
Dynamic local dns changer.
You probably know of ddns services that allow the dynamic change of a (sub) hostname. to point a webaddress to a changing web ip address. This is kinda the same but then for local system. But there is DNS/DHCP (and a lot of other local systems) i hear you say that always point to the right ip. Well your not wrong but there are two use cases that are not capable with dns/dhcp and other local systems
Home lab improvements
I redone my homelab setup.
Well I got fiber internet. The subscription is with a Fritzbox router. That has actually the features to allow a homelab. (The router at my parents dont even allow a local dns).
So I moved my main linux server directly from the internet (the ziggo modem was in bridge mode directly give a internet connection to my server)
But what i did i could not get ipv6 working on the debian machine. It was getting full of memory and a full disk. I have backups so i made a fresh reinstall.
